Pharr – Texas – Lockheed Martin has provided much needed grant funds to support some of our Rio Grande Valley (RGV) FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) and FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) teams. These funds support the purchasing of equipment and supplies for a robotics team so they can continue their journey in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Students in FIRST are required to build, program / code and then demonstrate their skills in an international robotics competition that students could earn a slot at the FIRST World Championship. The World Championship is attended by more than 66 countries and 30,000 students enjoying the hardest fun they would ever have.
We appreciate the support of Lockheed Martin and are excited to be partners in STEM education in the Rio Grande Valley.
