Mission, Texas – Today, the internet started to swarm about a special FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team in Mission, Texas. Mission Consolidated Independent School District contracted with a local vendor to advertise it’s FRC teams success in the previous competition year achieving recognition as one of the best FRC robotics teams in the world after attending the 2017 FIRST World Championship. This is the first time a team from the Rio Grande Valley had the opportunity to compete at this premiere event that attracts more than 29,000 students from 60 countries. FIRST emphasis skills in science, technology, engineering and math ( STEM ) as well as being able to code / program a robot to complete various tasks.
The Mission CISD Robo Rangers # 5960 is larger than life on Mayberry Dr in Mission, Texas for the next several months. This team has fundraised more than $100,000.00 the previous year and is home to more than 45 members serving in many different roles.
