FTC LEAGUE MEET 3 – HARLINGEN

Harlingen, Texas – Another great event occurred today at Harlingen South High School. We had some bumps with local interference on the wifi, but the students still had a great time and got five more matches under their belt towards the RGV Championship. After the championship on Feb 4, 2017 in Pharr, Texas, the teams will advance to San Antonio, Texas to compete against teams from other parts of south Texas.

Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) is a corner stone to growing our students into leaders of tomorrow, stated Milly Hernandez, FIRST-RGV Vice President and co-founder. I am a mother of four, so I know first hand that programs such as these are important. That is why I volunteer my time, Hernandez added.

FIRST-RGV will be hosting the season championship for the FIRST Tech Challenge at PSJA ISD Southwest High School on February 4, 2017. Competition starts at 11am and the community is invited. FREE ADMISSION
